In accordance with Section 4g, paragraph 2, second sentence of the Federal Data Protection Act, the data protection official is obligated to make the following information available to everyone in an appropriate manner:

    1. Name of the company responsible: Mohr Siebeck GmbH & Co. KG

    4. Address of company responsible: Wilhelmstraße 18, 72074 Tübingen, Germany
    5. Purpose of data collection: The company concerned is a publishing house. Collection, processing and use of the data are for the fulfillment of this purpose.
    6. Description of the groups of persons concerned and the data or data categories which apply to them:

Customer data, employee data as well as the data of suppliers and other service providers if these are required in order to fulfill the purpose mentioned in 5. These are essentially the data and data categories specified below:

      1. Customers (addresses, contact details, including telephone, fax and email data), contract data, customer support information including customer development, statistical data, accounting data, performance data, credit card and bank details
      2. Interested parties/non-customers (addresses, fields of interest, quotation data)
      3. Employees, job applicants, trainees, interns, retirees, former employees and dependents (essentially application data, details of job history, education and qualifications, if necessary criminal record); contract, master and accounting data  (details of private and business address, scope of work, salary payments, name and age of family members if relevant for employee benefits, income tax data, bank account data, items of property entrusted to the employee); contact information; employee status; qualifications; employee performance appraisal; job history; data concerning personnel administration and management; timekeeping data, data on the handling and monitoring of transactions as well as on the technical systems.
      4. Service providers (addresses, contact information, bank details, contract data; calendar management data; accounting and performance data).

7. Recipients or categories of recipients who can be given the data:
Public authorities in the case of overriding legal provisions, external contractors for the implementation of commissioned data processing in accordance with Section 11 of the Federal Data Protection Act as well as external and internal departments/special departments of Mohr Siebeck GmbH & Co. KG in order to fulfill the purpose specified in 5.

8. Regular deadlines for deleting the data:
Lawmakers have established various legal retention periods for data. When these legal deadlines have expired, the data is routinely deleted unless a longer retention period is necessary in view of current statutes of limitation or of a potential or pending lawsuit. If this does not affect the data it will be deleted if it no longer applies to the purposes specified in 5.

9. Planned data transfer to third countries:
Data transfers to third countries only occur as a part of any communication necessary in order to fulfill a contract in the context of the purpose specified in 5 as well as in the context of other exceptions expressly provided by law.
