Please send your request by email to the contact person in the relevant editorial department. If at all possible, please attach the complete manuscript (including table of contents, bibliography and title page) as an open file and a PDF. Please also send a short description, an academic CV and, in the case of theses (habilitation treatises or dissertations), a copy of the evaluation.
Theses are published in separate, specialized series, a list of which can be found here. Your manuscript will then be assessed by the editor responsible or, if applicable, by the series' editors. The length of time it takes to make an assessment varies from series to series, and further information can be obtained from the subject editor.
Guidelines on the correct form for your manuscript can be obtained from the respective editor.
As a rule, there are two ways to produce a manuscript: (1) the publisher arranges type-setting of the data or (2) the laying-out of camera-ready copy provided by the author. Regardless of method, one of our production team managers will assist you throughout the whole process.

Promoting your own publication
If you would like to advertise your work among your colleagues and own network, you can download a leaflet in PDF format from your title's page. You can also forward the leaflet to your institution’s press office and ask them to send press releases out to relevant journals, magazines or other publications.
By clicking the "share" button on the title’s webpage you can announce the new publication on Facebook and Twitter.
You can also draw attention to your title by including it in your list of publications, your email signature, homepage or on professional networking sites such as LinkedIn and Academia.edu; something you are very welcome to do using a direct link to our website. In the case of journal articles, we recommend including the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) code in the list. The literary reference will then lead directly to the online version of your article on the publication platform IngentaConnect.
You can also feed your publication into relevant Wikipedia articles as a literature source.
On signature of contract, authors are entitled to discounts covering all of our books and journals. These conditions can only be honored on orders placed directly with us, either through the homepage, by letter or e-mail. It is not possible to order through a bookstore. As soon as you are registered on the webshop as an author, your status will be automatically recognized and your discount activated.

Mohr Siebeck offers authors the opportunity to publish in Open Access. A work can appear in Open Access either in tandem with the print version or with a time-delay following the print publication.
Works published in Open Access will be assured of the same high standards of content and other quality characteristics as all other Mohr Siebeck publications. Each will undergo external peer review, although processes may vary according to discipline-specific demands. Our program directors will forward submitted manuscripts to internationally recognised experts, who are not associated with either the institution applying or the author, for independent evaluation. To be accepted for publication, a unanimous recommendation will then be required from the series' editors.
Whatever the case, a specially-edited PDF for the online publication will be made available at online.mohr.de. In addition to the normal visibility of Open Access titles, we are able to offer an enhanced service, which includes:

The exclusive copyright to articles in journals and edited volumes is granted to Mohr Siebeck when they are accepted for publication. Mohr Siebeck has the exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the contribution as well as to make it publicly accessible online. As author you retain the right to distribute the e-offprint of your contribution for private use (e.g. via e-mail), but not to make it accessible to the public (e.g. at any website, intranet or repository).
Prior written permission must be obtained from us if your essay is to be reprinted. To submit a request, please fill in this form. Please be aware that permissions cannot be granted verbally and we can only deal with requests made in writing. These can take up to six weeks to process so please submit them timeously.
No permission is necessary when quoting fewer than 400 words. Full reference to the original source must nevertheless always be made.
For journal articles, exclusivity falls away 12 months following publication, and for chapters in edited volumes after 24 months. Correspondingly, you may then (a) reproduce and distribute a print version of your contribution; (b) grant another publisher non-exclusive permission to reprint the article following publication with us; (c) make the print identical version accessible online for non-commercial purposes only. In all cases, full reference is to be made to the original Mohr Siebeck publication and, for journal contributions only and where applicable, mention made of the article's DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
Monographs or parts thereof may neither be reproduced, distributed or made available online without the express permission of the publisher. However, we will be pleased to grant permissions to our authors for the purpose of internal university evaluations, or in the case of other special circumstances. What is ORCID?
An ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a unique identifier for researchers. The not-for-profit, independent Open Researcher Contributor Initiative has been offering ORCIDs since 2012. The open and globally-networked service enables works and authors to be clearly matched to one another.
The ORCID complements the already established ISBN, ISSN and DOI numbers for books, journals and journal articles.
What are the advantages for authors?
Identical or similar names, as well as changes of names can lead to confusion or works and authors not being identified. With a dedicated identifier, your publications are assigned to you as author regardless of the publishing house or platform. Libraries and databases also work with ORCIDs.
What does Mohr Siebeck do with your ORCID number?
We use the digital identifier in our own systems to differentiate between authors and match works accordingly. As metadata, ORCID numbers are also passed on to metadata recipients (CrossRef, discovery services etc.) to achieve correct identification across the board.
What do we ask of you?
Only you as author can decide whether you would like to create an ORCID account and what information you store there. Signing up on www.orcid.org/register is, of course, free of charge.
