Cancellation Policy and Agreement for the Coverage of Costs in Case of Cancellation
As a customer, you are entitled to the following cancellation rights:

Cancellation Policy

The customer may cancel the order by mail, fax or e-mail within 14 days in a text form (eg. letter, fax, e-mail) after it has been placed without stating the reasons for this or, if the item has been given to you before the expiration date, by returning the item. The termination period shall commence upon receipt of this notification in writing, however not before receipt of the goods by the customer (however, in the event of a recurring delivery of similar goods, not before receipt of the first instalment thereof) and not prior to the fulfillment of our information obligations pursuant to article 246 section 2 of the German Civil Code in conjunction with article 1 section 1 and 2 of the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code as well as our obligations according to article 312e section 1, sentence 1 of German Civil Code in conjunction with article 246 section 3 of the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code. The cancellation period shall be deemed observed if the goods are returned or notice of cancellation is given within this period. In the case of electronic products, the buyer may not cancel the order or return the items after the seal of the CD-ROM has been broken.

The notice of cancellation is to be sent to:

Mohr Siebeck GmbH & Co. KG
- Customer Services Department -
Postfach 2040
72010 Tübingen
Germany
Telephone: +49 7071 923-0
Fax: +49 7071 51104
E-mail: manfred.pfeiffer [AT] mohr.de

Consequences of Cancellation
Should the cancellation take effect, the receivables resulting from the delivery of goods and services for both parties are to be refunded and if necessary any interest earned by Mohr Siebeck is to be refunded.  If the customer cannot return the items received completely or partially, or if these items have deteriorated in quality after receipt by the customer, the customer will compensate for the extent of the lost value. This does not apply to the surrender of goods if the deterioration of the product can be attributed solely to the inspection thereof in a manner similar to inspecting a product personally in a store. The customer can avoid the obligation to compensate for lost value for the deterioration due to the use of the product as specified by not using the product as his/her own property and refraining from doing anything which could detract from its value. All items eligible to be sent as a package will be returned at our risk. The goods are to be returned at the customer's expense if the goods delivered correspond to the goods ordered, if the price of the product to be returned does not exceed  €40 or, should the price exceed this amount and neither partial nor full payment of the goods has been made. In all other cases, the return consignment is free of charge for the customer.  All items not eligible to be sent as a package will be picked up at the customer's address. Obligations to refund payments must be fulfilled within 30 days. The time specified for the customer shall commence when the notice of cancellation has been sent or the product has been shipped, and for Mohr Siebeck upon receipt of the notice or the product.
