Hans-Georg Gadamer: Gesammelte Werke

"The present collection of my works represents the desire to render accessible a wide spectrum of scholarly literature arranged in chronological order and according to subject. It is to be regarded as the final edition authorized by the author himself in which he has incorporated revisions and additions."

The texts of the previous editions were rechecked by Gadamer for the corresponding volumes of the Collected Works. Apart from minor corrections, the texts remained unchanged, unless otherwise noted. The page numbers of previous editions are repeated in the margin. Those comments which refer to developments in research were augmented or expanded considerably.
Square brackets have been used to indicate all the material which has been added, including additional and expanded comments.

Wherever Gadamer considered it advisable, he added indexes of names and subjects. Some of these are joint indexes for volumes which belong together.
At the end of volume ten there is a complete table of contents for all the volumes containing alphabetical indexes of the titles, for the English, French and Italian translations as well.
