Birgit Weyel studies this period of time from the establishment of the Wittenberg seminary in 1817 to the church law of 1898. Her historical reconstruction of the change from time spent as a curate to a real training phase for Protestant ministers in Prussia is a contribution to current discussions regarding pastoral theology and training concepts.
